PaintSmith’s owner Stephen Smith has been beautifying homes and businesses for over 20 years and here in New Mexico since 2002. Although several of the homes Steve has painted have been featured award winners in the popular Parade of Homes, there is no job too small or too basic for him. From basic interior/exterior to decorator colors & faux finishes, expertise, quality and professionalism are the standard of excellence you can expect from Steve and his team.

In any endeavor Steve's level of integrity and professionalism is apparent. Steve employs only professionals who exhibit the same attention to detail and quality that PaintSmith LLC is known for. Passionate about what he does, Steve stays abreast of all the new techniques and is always attending workshops to expand his talent and expertise.

Prior to coming to New Mexico, Steve lived in the bay area of California where (in between gigs in his career as a professional musician) he painted for 15 years. From the Painted Ladies (Victorian home’s) in the heart of San Francisco to Sam’s Club more inland and everything in between, Steve has been running successful paint crews and worked independently to get the job done right and on time.

Stephen’s first love is playing bass and it was while he was on tour and playing a sold out show in 1999 in Albuquerque that he met his (now) wife Jennifer. Eventually he and his band (Bar 7/Tesla) went their separate ways and Steve officially made Albuquerque his home.

In addition to painting, decorating and beautifying the world, Jennifer and Stephen enjoy their animals, their home, riding his motorcycle, Bible study and playing music.
